Picture Plate

Much like the picture coaster, this is a very simple and personal gift to give to someone!  I made this for my boyfriend's mom for her birthday.

Supplies Needed

Mod Podge Gloss and a Sponge Brush
and Mod Podge Acrylic Sealer Spray

I bought a decorative plate from Marshall's for $3, and a plate display hanger from Michael's for $5
Glue Stick, paper of your choice, and printed pictures!

Ready to get started?!

1.  Decorate the plate with whatever paper you'd like and in whatever pattern!  Be creative!

I chose purple, because that is her favorite color!
Use a regular glue stick to glue the paper onto the plate.

2.  Use a glue stick to collage the pictures onto the plate.  Or you could just do one big picture in the center of the plate.

You can add a back, too if you'd like.

3.  Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over the entire plate.  Make sure to do all of the paper edges and to the edge of the plate.  If you are doing something on the back, wait until all of your layers of Mod Podge dry on the front!  Wait 15-20 minutes to let it dry, and apply another layer.  Do this for 10 layers.  Once it is all the way dry, follow the same steps for the back.

4.  After all of the layers are dry, spray the sealer over the entire plate.  Let dry for 15-20 minutes, and spray again.  Once the front is done, turn it over and do the back!

Put plate on the display and you have yourself a very simple and beautiful present!
