Picture Coaster Set

I saw these on Pinterest, and have had a few friends make them.  I really like the idea, so I decided to give it a try!  It's a very simple project, and a great gift.  I made them for my mom for her birthday with pictures of her three grandsons.  She hasn't gotten them yet, but I'm sure she is going to love them.

Supplies Needed

I bought a nine pack of 4x4 tiles from Home Depot for $5 and two packs of the rubber cabinet stoppers for $3.  (You can use felt circles instead of rubber.)

Mod Podge Gloss and a Sponge Brush and Mod Podge Acrylic Sealer Spray

A glue stick, printed pictures, and paper of your choice!

Ready to start?!

Your tiles are 4x4, so the paper backing needs to be 3.5x3.5 and your pictures need to be 3x3.
Measure your paper backing and pictures out and cut them!
Glue your pictures onto the paper, then glue the paper and pictures to your tile.  You can use a glue stick or the Mod Podge.  I used the glue stick because it dries faster.

Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over the entire front of the tile.  Make sure you get the edges of the paper and the edges of the tile!  Let sit for 15-20 minutes to dry, and repeat for a total of 10 coats!

Once all of your coats are dry, apply the rubber or felt circles to the back of the tile.  This will keep the tiles from harming any furniture they are going to sit on.

Spray the fronts of your tile with the Mod Podge spray.  Do this outside, it smells pretty bad!

Finished project!  Just pile them up and wrap a bow around it, and you've got a cute, personalized gift!

Pretty Simple, right?
