No Sew Tank Top

I had a few tank tops left over from my maternity wear, and they were obviously too big!  This easy-to-do, no-sew, pattern was a great way to salvage these tanks and let me continue to wear them!

  1. Put the shirt on and pinch the sides to the desired tightness.  Measure how much you have pinched.
  2. Turn the shirt inside out.
  3. Cut open the sides.  (If you are using a men's shirt, you can cut the bottom hem off so the bottom of the shirt curls up and gives it a more feminine look.  You can also cut in a U shape, smaller in the middle area, to make men's shirts look more girlie.)
  4. Fray the sides.  Cut them the same length that you measured in step one.
  5. Tie knots with frays across from each other.
  6. Flip right side out...and
  7. WAHLAA!  You're finished!
A very simple and cute way to recycle old shirts!
